Sodexo Healthcare has an exciting opening for a Director, Construction Management at our client, University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland, OH. University Hospitals is one of the nation’s leading health care systems, providing high-quality, patient-centered medical care at locations throughout Northeast Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will lead the University Hospitals construction services support team, acting on behalf of University Hospitals as owners agent with oversight responsibilities for design, engineering, preconstruction, and construction services delivery across the enterprise system network. The primary office work location is the Cleveland Medical Center – University Circle main campus.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering, or Construction Management or Architecture or equivalent experience with a strong proven track record will be considered;
- 6+ years applicable Construction Management experience;
- Strong communication and customer satisfaction skills;
- Healthcare/Hospital experience is preferred;
- Must have ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience;
- Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.

Position Summary
Technical Job-Specific Expertise (Required)
This position leads a portion of the Construction Project Management team. This support department within the Service Operations team will support infrastructure renewal projects, capital improvement projects, energy projects, and construction management capabilities across Sodexo’s North America Business units. This position will oversee the support of each component of the Construction Initiative including but not limited to Market requirements, education, customer liaison, defining and developing solutions, and continuous improvement. Contributes to driving business development and retention objectives across all business units via offer, technical capability, service excellence and education to internal and external clients and customers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience – 7 years in construction or related field
Basic Management Experience – 7 years supervisory experience
