The Food Field Application Scientist (Food FAS) will team up with assigned Sales Specialists to achieve sales goals by providing technical and application support for NIR, FTIR, and Rheology product lines. This position will be based in Canada with the Technical Center located in Winnipeg. The Food FAS is a key technical support person for the Sales Specialists and customers in the territory across the Americas providing:
Technical product presentations (to individual prospects and seminar audiences) Customer demonstrations Analyze customer samples, generate professional reports and present results Propose best solutions for customers’ analytical requirements Assist in training customers and application implementation Provide ongoing feedback to Food Product Line Leaders and Product Managers on market needs, emerging applications, Product Line performance and competitive landscape.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Travel up to 50% internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years preferred experience working knowledge of NIR, FTIR, or rheological instrumentation, including sample preparations
- 3-5 years of scientific expertise and customer focus with excellent communication skills
- Fluent in French a plus!
