PerkinElmer has an opportunity for a Product Manager to support our ICP-MS Discovery & Analytical Solutions business. As a Product Manager, you will maximize the company’s commercial success of one or more product platforms by formulating business strategies, working with the R&D and cross functional teams to develop world-class solutions. Collaboration with field sales and service, and marketing teams is critical to evaluating the best mechanisms for execution on those strategies. This individual acts as the voice of the customer using market research & customer insights, and macro market trends to effectively manage the product portfolio and drive new product development.

- For exceptional candidates not local to Woodbridge, ON, Canada, this role will be a hybrid remote role and will require travel on site one week per month at one of our 3 site locations: Shelton, CT, Downers Grove, IL and/or Woodbridge, ON, Canada depending on the needs of the business.
- Ideal candidate will be local to Woodbridge, ON, Canada and work a Hybrid remote role being on site 2-3 days a week at Woodbridge, ON, Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing business plans for ICP-MS and its accessories, consumables, and services to meet annual revenue and profitability growth plans.
- Effectively map the competitive landscape and develop pricing strategies for the current and future product portfolio
- Characterize the external market by performing:
- Customer segmentation analysis: assessment of the customer profile within the responsible region by industry, size, application focus, and solution requirements
- Market opportunities: determination of business challenges in the target market that are or could be met within the scope of the business
- Identify and drive lead generation & marketing activities while continuously monitoring leading indicators for future orders and revenue growth
- Lead cross functional teams to develop an effective ICP-MS product portfolio and to identify, communicate and incorporate new product enhancements in software and hardware.
- Manage the creation and release new part numbers from start through completion (PDM & SAP completion, CIM, Quote Studio, and marketing announcements)
- In collaboration with, sales and MARCOM, develop sales tools, brochures, and related internal and external communication and support tools for field products and services
- Communicate with global users and internal team members to support Voice Of Customer (VOC) programs to assist with development of compelling new products and services
- Current product support through routine field engagement and R&D engagement on hardware and software sustaining projects
- Collaboration with regional leaders and field specialists to implement countermeasures ahead of the anticipated gap in required opportunity grow and funnel velocity
- Ensure PerkinElmer continues to be the thought-leader target markets and applications
Employment Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor Degree in a science related field. Advanced graduate degree and/or MBA highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years experience in ICP-MS technology
- Minimum of 3 years experience in product management, marketing, sales, or a related function
- Experience in complementary techniques, such as, ICP-OES, LA-ICP-MS, and speciation, is strongly preferred
- Ability to travel up to 30%
